The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the inaugural Gator Tank Pitch Competition.

And the Gator Tank Kudos Prize winners are Borderland Rainbow Center, Insights Science Discovery, and The Arc of El Paso!

On October 13^th, the Paso del Norte Community Foundation brought together nonprofit organizations to not only kick off the giving season but to also engage both nonprofit organizations and funders through a pitch competition.

The Gator Tank Pitch Competition presented six participating nonprofit organizations the opportunity to make their case for support during a 3 to 5-minute fast-pitch to a live audience comprising other nonprofit organizations, funders, and a judges panel of community leaders and organization supporters.

Over the past three months, participating nonprofit organizations including Books are Gems, Borderland Rainbow Center, Harmonious Home, Insights Science Center, Justice for Our Neighbors El Paso, and The Arc of El Paso have worked with mentors to prepare and perfect their pitches. Mentor Sessions focused on three primary topics: The Art of Pitching, Defining Your Fundraising Cycle, and What Funders are Looking For. Each mentor session provided thoughtful leadership, guidance, and insights for the participating organizations.

The pitch competition provided organizations the opportunity to train, build capital, and expand their missions and programs that support vulnerable communities.
