In the days after restaurants and bars were forced to close as part of the Stay Home, Work Safe order, a group of local service industry volunteers established the El Paso Food and Beverage Workers Fund to provide a grant to Workforce Solutions Borderplex to support food and beverage workers in El Paso, Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, New Mexico who have been laid off or working reduced hours due to the temporary closures.

With generous support from L&F Distributing and Glaziers and donations large and small, more than 165 $100 gift cards have been approved by Workforce Solutions Borderplex to date.
