Steve Lauterbach is the immediate past Chair and current Vice-Chair of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PDNCF) Board of Directors and founding board member of both the Paso del Norte Community Foundation and Paso del Norte Health Foundation.

Mr. Lauterbach is a Certified Public Account and the managing partner at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.  

After earning his degree, he began his accounting career at Arthur Andersen & Company in Houston, Texas. Steve joined the tax department at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. in 1977. He became a partner in 1981 and a managing partner in 1990. Throughout his career, Mr. Lauterbach has served a diverse client base ranging in size and industry and now specializes in taxation, business and individual consulting services, financial advisory, and family estate planning.

A native El Pasoan, Mr. Lauterbach is an active member of the community serving on the PDNCF board and fund development committee.  He and his wife Ann established the Lauterbach Fund for Health in 2013.  Lauterbach and Borschow is also a generous supporter of El Paso Giving Day, matching funds contributed during the 24-hour on-line giving campaign by the company’s employees. He also is an active member of the McCombs Leadership Society at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Littlefield Society.
