Earlier this month, the Paso del Norte Health Foundation contributed $20,000 to the Annunciation House to help them meet the basic health and safety needs of refugees in their care. This was announced at the El Paso Inc., El Pasoan of the Year and Community Spirit Award Luncheon where Beto O’Rourke and Ruben Garcia were honored. The El Paso Inc. made a monetary contribution to Annunciation House of $5,000 on behalf of Mr. O’Rourke's recognition as El Pasoan of the Year.

“We felt it was important to do our part,” said Tracy J. Yellen, CEO of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, that includes the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. “Supporting Annunciation House and their work helps us achieve our vision of ensuring that individuals and families in our region have the knowledge, resources, support and environment needed to live healthy lives.”

Donors to El Paso Giving Day and other funds within the Paso del Norte Community Foundation have been very supportive of the work of Annunciation House and want to do their part to help.
