The Lexa Dean Jobe and Billie Mac Jobe Family Foundation joins the Paso del Norte Community Foundation's Community of Philanthropy
The Lexa Dean Jobe and Billie Mac Jobe Family Foundation was established recently by the Jobe children and grandchildren as a loving tribute to the generous spirits and lifelong giving modeled by both Lexa Dean and Billie Mac Jobe.
As the matriarch of the Jobe family, Lexa Dean today carries on a tradition of love, kindness, and generosity that was a cornerstone of her marriage and life with Billie Mac. During their 59 years together, they always extended compassion, caring, and a helping hand to others and taught their 3 children, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, by word and deed, the importance of giving to the church, charity, and philanthropy.
Lexa Dean and Billie Mac Jobe lived in the El Paso region from 1973 to 2000 buying and selling farms and businesses and building and improving several church of Christ buildings and fellowship. Throughout those many years as El Pasoans, Lexa Dean and Billie Mac supported most of the local charitable causes, making a difference in many ways to our local community and the world at large.
Lexa Dean and Billie Mac grew up and married in Putnam, Texas, and lived in many different locations before settling in El Paso for those 27 years. Billie Mac was one of the founders of the original Jobe Concrete Products, Inc. In 2000, they moved to their ranch in Toyah, Texas just outside of Pecos. Lexa Dean now lives in Fort Worth, but El Paso has a special place in her heart.
The purpose of the Jobe Family Foundation is to provide support and funds for such needs in our community and beyond as education, health, social services, adoption assistance, animal advocacy, and food insecurity. The Lexa Dean Jobe and Billie Mac Jobe Family Foundation was funded by their son Stanley Jobe and his wife, Martie in December 2021. Their five children – Brooks Jobe, Lexa Dean Jobe, Dr. Zane Jobe, Tag Georges, and Dr. Hanah Georges all contributed individual sub-funds to the foundation along with Lexa Dean and Billie Mac’s two daughters and son in law – Mary and Dr. Mitch Conditt and Irene Epperson and another granddaughter, Mattison Conditt. The sub-funds allow each contributor to recommend and participate in charitable decisions for the specific funds they contribute. This approach to the building of the Family Foundation is designed to inspire and promote the participation of all future generations of the Jobe family in the charitable traditions nurtured by Lexa Dean Jobe and Billie Mac Jobe and carried on by their children and grandchildren.
