Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase

The Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase is an annual film festival held in El Paso, Texas, that celebrates powerful short films created by women and gender-expansive filmmakers from around the world, especially elevating voices from communities of color along the U.S.-Mexico border. Founded in 2016, the festival is proudly led by women and gender-expansive filmmakers from the border region and has gained national recognition, with features in Variety Magazine, Texas Monthly, and Remezcla. In 2018, it was named one of the top film festivals for women filmmakers.
This year’s Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase will take place from June 6 to June 8, featuring an exciting lineup of screenings, filmmaker panels, and community events that highlight themes of identity, resilience, and cultural storytelling. The showcase continues to serve as a platform for underrepresented voices in film, building bridges between communities and inspiring new generations of creators.
