Foundation announces grant support from Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) is pleased to announce its selection as a recipient of a major three-year grant provided by Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund.
The Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund builds bridges between nonprofits and donors so that the nonprofits strengthening communities have access to the resources they need to flourish. The PdNCF applied for the grant to help grow its Philanthropic Giving and Nonprofit Investment priority areas. The Paso del Norte Community Foundation leads significant nonprofit capacity building efforts for regional nonprofit organizations including the annual Reimagine! Nonprofit Conference, slated for May 7th this year, and 10th annual El Paso Giving Day, set for October 16th, along with other curated programs and opportunities through the year.
The Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund grant will support the PdNCF’s efforts to inspire donors to grow their giving to promising nonprofit organizations serving the region. Much of this work will be done through El Paso Giving Day and expanded donor engagement efforts.
“We are so honored to have been selected to receive this prestigious grant award from the Catalyst Fund that will enable us to do even more for nonprofit organizations serving the residents of our region,” says Mica E. Short, Vice President for Development for the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. “We are eager to learn from the Catalyst Fund team and cohort of community foundations and to share our best practices as well.”
The Catalyst Fund grant includes an invaluable Community of Practice facilitated by CFLeads, providing the opportunity for PdNCF staff and leadership to learn from other foundations and philanthropic leaders across the South Central and Mountain West, including Fidelity Charitable® Catalyst Fund grantees.
